The one thing we are really lucky with in the Tweed area is the plethora of local places to go for a Sunday lunch.
Of course, there are many local surf and bowls club – and it is not just for families! You can get a great feed – and because they are so popular you are assured that the produce is fresh and local.
Our favourites include:
Cudgen Headland Surf Club (Great views on the balcony)
Cabarita Beach Bowls Club (Cheeky Chopstick’s menu works well for all tastes. Sadly no beach view, but the venue is well patronised by locals – always a good sign!)
Evans Head Surf Club – free live music on Saturdays
Rainbow Bay Surf Life Saving Club (older venue but the food is fresh and tasty!)
and of course the closest of all, Cabarita Beach Surf Club (enjoy the view from the balcony)
…to name a few.
Well worth a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch – but book early and ask for a table with a view (where you can). You won’t be disappointed.
